Boca Ciega might just be the most entertaining team in the state, as heralded transfer 6-5 JR Nijaun Harris (22.7 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 2.2 apg, 2.3 steals at St. Petersburg High) has joined forces with head coach Marquel Cason’s program, coming off its first Final Four appearance in 24 years. Harris’ arrival instantly creates a “Showtime” scenario with returning star 6-6 SR Anthony Brown (21.4 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 3.5 apg, 2.0 steals) and gives the Pirates a nearly-unstoppable ability to attack the rim. Another key returning contributor is 5-9 JR Matthew Cabassa (9.5 ppg). … Brown’s 34-point performance powered Boca Ciega’s second-half comeback in a 61-58 upset of Gibbs in the 4A-Region 3 championship game.
