Under head coach Lyndon Love, the Dallas ISD powerhouse has built an elite culture and has massive expectations for the 2026-27 season after reeling off 25 consecutive wins and claiming the school’s first-ever state title. The backcourt leadership comes from 6-3 SR Amerion Hunter (24 ppg, 6 apg) and 6-1 SR Landen “Fats” Higgs (12 ppg, 6 apg), but Carter also has a pair of talented bigs in lengthy 6-10 SR wing Shaqere Kizzee and rim-protecting 6-10 SR Terrell Jackson (14 ppg, 11 rpg). … The Cowboys’ holiday trip to the Tarkanian Classic in Las Vegas ended in an 0-4 disaster, marked by blowout losses to Orem (Utah) and Bishop Gorman (Nev.), but they never lost again – dominating La Marque 67-41 in the state final at San Antonio.
